Press Release Summary: Debut book by Las Vegas-based publisher of quality paperback fiction bows at San Francisco\'s landmark City Lights Books
Press Release Body: (LAS VEGAS, NV, July 21, 2008) \"Mr. Bukowski\'s Wild Ride\", the first offering of quality paperback fiction from Trace Publications, made its retail debut this week exclusively at legendary City Lights Book Store in San Francisco.
\"We are particularly pleased by this arrangement with our friends at City Lights,\" says writer and Trace Publications CEO Rodger Jacobs. \"In this day and age it is becoming increasingly difficult to find retail outlets for small press titles.\"
Jacobs, a veteran journalist, playwright, and feature documentary producer (\"Wadd: The Life and Times of John C. Holmes\"), cites a company imperative to \"bust through the wall of brand-name formula fiction and create a publishing imprint that focuses on fun and smart quality paperback publications.\"
\"Mr. Bukowski\'s Wild Ride\" is described as a \"collective effort\", deftly combining 15 interconnected comedic short stories about a \"chain-smoking, hard-drinking Poet Laureate of the Underground, who just happens to be named Bukowski\", with complimentary essays by renowned poets David Barker and Harry Calhoun, Los Angeles journalist Joseph Mailander, and writer and artist Vaughn Croteau. The original cover illustration was commissioned from San Francisco artist Gent Sturgeon.
Review copies of \"Mr. Bukowski\'s Wild Ride\" are available through Trace Publications. The book is currently available to the public through a website and at City Lights Book Store in San Francisco.
